Make an impact and move on!

Yesterday I drove by a car dealership and there was a company outside mowing the grass. One individual was walking the curb string trimming the grass horizontally, and another was right behind him with the string trimmer flipped over edging vertically. I drove by about an hour later and I couldn’t tell the difference between before they trimmed and after, and trust me I took note to look.
Moral of the story is, focus on making an impact, not just doing to do! For this specific example the lawn mower had already cut the grass horizontally and the edge had been cut so many times it didn’t need it at all. Trust me, the customer would never notice if every other week these guys skipped that detail.
Not only would they not notice, but skipping it could lead to reduced costs for you and them, along with reduced labor. It was 100 degrees out. I think those guys wouldn’t mind skipping that every once in a while!
